I didn’t really get into reading until 2012, after graduating college. I’m an early riser and I wanted to find something meaningful to fill my mornings rather than scrolling social media.
I started to read about one book a month, but now I’m up to nearly one a week. I prefer print books, but I do have a Nook and a Fire tablet as well as a subscription to Scribd—great for the morning commute and road trips!
Three years ago, I started a book club: Lake Superior Literati. We meet every other month and dive into a variety of genres. It’s also a great excuse to get together with an incredible group of ladies!
Last year, I signed up for Book of the Month Club and now that my library is growing faster than I can keep up, I’ve been taking advantage of the Duluth Library more often.
This year, my friend and I launched a book blog, Foghorn Review. Our goal is to review beyond the 5-star system, but we really just wanted an excuse to read and write more often.
