Lazy Sunday TBR List Roundup

by Joli

Hello readers! We’ve got a shorter list of TBR adds this time, so we really want to hear from you – what have you added recently? Let us and other readers know in the comments!

Becky

I just added The Best Yes by Lysa Terkeurst to my Over Drive app. It discusses making the best decision in a world where we are bombarded with choices and it can feel impossible to say “No”. I think that I too often fall into this trap, and then all of a sudden I feel hugely overwhelmed – even if all the things I’ve said “yes” to are great! Hoping this will be a fresh reminder that it is OK to NOT do everything for everyone.

Janna

Both books on my TBR list this week are for book clubs this month. I’m finally getting around to The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah after hearing so many good things. And I’m diving into the non-fiction story The Professor and the Madman: A Tale of Murder, Insanity and the Making of the Oxford English Dictionary. Apparently the man who edited the Oxford English Dictionary was a murderer who was housed in one of England’s most locked down insane asylums. Both should be great!

Like Janna, I’m also digging into The Nightingale for our book club this month. I’m about a quarter of the way in and absolutely LOVING it! Her storytelling just takes me away and immerses me in the story so quickly. I also just added Maria Semple’s newest novel, Today Will Be Different. I just loved Where’d You Go, Bernadette? so much, but this new one of hers isn’t getting the same kind of great reviews as Bernadette did. Still, I’d love to give it a go.
